Fighting Educational Inequality by Teach First

Teach First is a UK charity that aims to engage the brightest talent in the nation to fight educational inequality. Their Leadership Development Programme trains leaders who can bring out the best in young people, regardless of the circumstance of their lives. More than 80 high-profile organisations in the private, public and charity sectors recognise Teach First’s ability to develop leaders for life.

Teach First values diversity and 9% of participants in their 2015 Leadership Development Programme disclosed a disability. Teach First work hard to ensure that their application and selection process is inclusive. In fact, they strongly encourage their candidates to disclose information about their disability, so that they can offer support throughout the application and selection process. Teach First offers reasonable adjustments on a case-by-case basis, ensuring that needed adjustments are tailored to the candidate.
