Helen Cooke, Founder and CEO of MyPlus has been recognised for the fourth time as one of the 2022 Shaw Trust Disability Power 100, the most influential people with a disability in the UK.
The Shaw Trust Disability Power 100 is an annual celebration of the 100 most influential disabled people in the UK, nominated by the public and judged by an independent panel. Nationally and internationally recognized, it is the only campaign that shines a light on disabled people at the top of their game and in positions of influence across all sectors of society. This year there were more than 700 nominations for the 100 places on the list.
Helen Cooke is recognised nationally as a leading expert in disability employment with a particular expertise in student recruitment. In 2006 Helen founded MyPlus, a consulting business focussed on helping organisations realise the potential and possibilities of hiring and investing in people with disabilities. In 2009 she launched the MyPlus Recruiters’ Club offering specialist training and interactive disability focused events for employers. Wishing to motivate and raise aspirations of young individuals with disabilities Helen founded an award-winning career advice website www.myplusstudentsclub.com in 2013.
