Brain Awareness Week
Brain Awareness Week (BAW) is a global awareness initiative that partners with organisations all over the world every March to celebrate the brain. This year’s event is the 14th – 20th of March. The aim is to increase awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research, and activities varies as the participating organisations are quite diverse.

My Friends, My Community – Down’s Syndrome Awareness Week
The week of 20th – 26th of March is dedicated to celebrating people with Down’s syndrome. Down’s Syndrome Awareness Week in 2016 celebrates the people with Down’s syndrome in our local communities and their rights to participate fully in their local communities when they wish and with the right support.

World Down Syndrome Day 2016
The 11th World Down Syndrome Day takes place on Monday 21st of March, right at the start of Down’s Syndrome Awareness Week, and the day seeks to raise awareness of what Down syndrome is, what it means to have Down’s syndrome and how people with Down’s syndrome are important in our daily lives and communities.
