Profiles / Stories
It’s always great to hear from those who have been successful.
This section profiles many individuals, working across different industries, at various stages of their careers. Their interviews demonstrate that is possible to have a successful career regardless of whether or not you have a disability. They also illustrate the adjustments that can be made in the workplace.

"In addition to giving me the motivation to persevere with my aspirations of becoming a commercial law solicitor, reading several related success stories and news articles on MyPlus Students' Club also helped me to realise what information is appropriate to share with potential employers about my hearing impairment and to request the reasonable adjustments I need. I have attended an OPEN-to-law event as advertised on the site to further discuss this topic which was invaluable for me as a recent graduate as I feel that although guidance on sharing information about a disability with an employer is much needed, my experience is that it is not widely available elsewhere. It is also useful to be able to keep track of current opportunities that I can apply for with disability confident companies in the future, whilst I am living in China."
